Our Pelvic Fertility Monitoring Scan, offers advanced insights to complement your treatment plan. As one of the few facilities in Northern Ireland to specialise in these fertility scans, we’re here to provide personalised, professional care to meet your unique needs.

This service is tailored for patients who are currently undergoing fertility treatment. The scan includes both trans-abdominal and trans-vaginal methods to provide a comprehensive assessment of the pelvic area.

The scan evaluates

• Endometrial condition and thickness to assess uterine lining health

• Ovary size and volume to check for any indicators affecting treatment.

• Follicle count and size to monitor ovarian reserve and follicular development.

Following the scan:

• A detailed report with associated images is sent directly to you, via an encrypted ultrasound app. 

This ensures accurate and timely communication of results to support your fertility journey.

• This Pelvic Scan, available to those over 18 years old, is performed by our Midwife Specialist Sonographer with diagnostic scanning experience and Msc in Obstetric and Gynaecology Ultrasound including a recent fertility accreditation award from the TPR nurture fertility clinic in Nottingham.

   

  • A Pelvic Fertility Baseline Scan is best performed trans-vaginally for optimum clarity and results. This means that the sonographer will ask for your consent to insert an ultrasound probe into your vagina. If you choose not to have a trans-vaginal scan, we may be able to complete the scan trans-abdominally (by placing an ultrasound probe on the skin of your pelvic area) - but results may not be as accurate.
